Did they change the program? The couple I talked to didn’t get seniority numbers until their 2 year instructing commitment was up.
They get a number right away now due to the CBA requiring a certain percentage of seniority list pilots. It's a way around having to bring people off the line to instruct because it's cheaper to hire a guy at $70k and let him go to the line 2 years later. Rinse/repeat.
