The majors think they are still the only game in town. Unfortunately for them there are many other companies that pay a whole lot more or have better schedule than they do. if you are young enough, your vision should be flying over sea's for get Delta, UA, AA they pay crap compared to some of the international carriers. Cargo operators also pay well and, have better schedules than the airlines. 16 days on and 12 days off, not bad at all. at the majors, you would have to have 10, 15 year seniority to get a schedule where you have lots of time off without giving your trips away.
So you guys have lots of options. Don't get drawn in thinking that the majors are the only game in town.
