I am considering interviewing with Mesa and am looking for some info. I have an ATP with over 3000 hrs turbine time (mostly turboprop). How long is training and what is the training schedule like?
Thanks in advance

The training timeline is kind of a moving target right now.
You can expect the following:
Get there (PHX) on a Tues. Wed and Thurs, @ 7-3 for drug testing, welcome and that kind of crap. Expect to get briefs on things you don't even understand about 121 aviation.
Fri and Sat there is a training class to bring people up to speed on jet aviation.
Mon-Sat is Indoc week.
After that, you may have to wait for a systems class to start. Maybe a week or 2.
Systems class is 2.5 weeks.
After that, you should have a procedure trainer for a week.
Then Sims for about 10 days.
A few odds and ends and then IOE for at least 25 hours.
There may be breaks between each of them based on sim availability or instructor availability. This is a big ballpark.

Which jet are you choosing? The training to IOE takes 2 to 3 months, weekends are not necessarily off. Except some regionals give weekends off up to SIMs, the schedule is about the same as everywhere else.

Based on our conversation on another thread, I'm looking at the Ejet, but I haven't interviewed yet. Thanks for the info.

Do you have your ATP already? If not, you will need to take a CTP class that is offered in Dallas. The CTP Class causes a delay for some of your ground school in Phoenix. Mesa pays for the class and pays you while you take the class.

My husband has been with Mesa since July. Not sure if they will finish his sim's in the near future. They are so disorganized, gave him time off since their training schedule wasn't out then didn't pay him. I think he will quit soon. It is a hot mess and a waste of time.
