I initially wondered the same thing. When I looked at the pilots hired in late July on the roster, they were still not awarded either reserve or a line in IAH for December. They are either still in SIMs, waiting to get to IOE, in IOE, or just out of IOE. More than likely, the training department is screwed up as far as getting people out of SIMs.

It is true that it is taking a ridiculously long time to get people through training, but she said they did not pay him? That is odd, Mesa gives min. guaranteed during training. I had about three weeks off between ground school and sims back when I went through initial and I got paid for it.

I'm sure they paid him. Just never looks like they did given how low pay is. There is a reason why nobody wants to become pilots anymore. It's a joke.
