It depends on your schedule. And once you get your schedule, stand by, it will change. This is an airline, weekends are irrelevant. I think the only time the sim is not scheduled is between 0200 and 0400 but I could be wrong.

You might as well get used to working weekends. Being junior (at any airline) you will not hold them off.

Airlines work 365 days per year. Expect that during training. You need to work your tail off during training to be successful anyway.

Question

How's the E175 sim training backlog going referred to in the start of this thread? Has it all been sorted out? Where are the sims taking place now?

Nope. I left Phoenix from systems class, about a week ago. Supposedly starting FPT on Dec 28 and then estimated 4 weeks from then, until sims and oral. And that’s if everyone in front of me doesn’t need any re-training. Sims will either be at DFW or STL

So, basically, only 5 or 6 weeks backlogged if they keep to the schedule they promised you. That is much better than a month ago.

With only 9 new FO’s on the Ejet hired in November, they were bound to catch up.

We were told that our class (DOH 10/13) should be the last class to have significant breaks between training events. I’m not one to complain, but it is still a bit absurd.

I’m 8/11 class and just now in STL for EJET sims. Haven’t heard how long or if there’s a major backlog between sims and IOE. Anyone have any recent experience?

I don’t think it will take very long. The bottleneck is the SIMs and SIM instructors. They have to get you consolidated. When did you take your oral? I think it expires in 60 days.

I was 7/21 class finished IOE 12/3. I had 2 days Between sim and IOE. My IOE lasted about 3 1/3 weeks for 3 trips and had a week break in there.

They have a lot of Captain upgrades to put through sim as well.
