I got my flight training done at a Part 141 School, but got my Degree afterwards from a University that is listed in the LOA from the FAA and in an aviation Degree. The only issue, is that I received my Commercial before my degree, not concurrent with it. Which, it seems means I do not qualify for the R-ATP. Although both my flight school and college fit the regulations, timing was off so I am s.o.l. it seems, which does seem stupid.
Bunch of Delta pilots lost their pensions because the economy collapsed after the real estate market collapsed because a bunch of mortgage companies were giving credit to a bunch of people who weren't creditworthy because the Feds told them it was the socially responsible thing to do. That didn't make sense either.
