NJA isn’t a sinking ship, they are just trying to run so tight with no padding that it makes them volatile. No other aviation company is trying to add airplanes while simultaneously shrinking the pilot group, it’s a terrible business model. But again, lots of the pilot group looks at today, and ignores next week so if you don’t compare the long term effects to the short term gain, life will be good, as you are just getting paid more to do the same amount of work essentially. Of course overall people are happier, the pilots (especially FOs) were tired of making crap money for what they were doing. This flight pay bump helps but it will be a temporary victory. The allure of 20k more isn’t going to last forever.
