Is the pay scale accurate?? It seems really good.. yet I know of a YV captain who went to Omni then came back to YV as an fo.. claiming he could make more $ ??
Is upgrade 4 years or so as it states on the page?
Is Alaska possible with home basing or do they want you in the lower-48?
My memory is fuzzy but I believe YV is Mesa? I know of a few FOs who have worked the entire month (voluntarily) and have made around 20K for the month. Unless the pay scales are wrong on APC no Mesa Captain is making that. Even a first year FO who collects min guarantee (without adding Perdiem) is Making 90K first year. Bonuses are a one time deal so these can’t be factored into overall compensation when comparing apples.
Might want to ask others in the industry why said person returned to Mesa the truth usually comes out.
Upgrade is down to 2.5 years
APC’s website provides you with a list of current bases. The bases are limited to the lower 48 (contiguous US) however we have many who live in ANC and make it work for them.
Concerning interview slots... All are filled through June last window had over 1000 applications. Interviewing weekly through June!
Month of OT example;
16 days (64 hour guarantee) @ 117.54: $7552.56
14 days Vol (49 hours of flight pay based on 3.56 per day: $5858.19
14 days Vol daily pay: $6700
Total pay for the month: $20,110.75
The above scenerio is unrealistic as the company isn’t going to sit you in a hotel or random location on volunteer days and not fly you.
More realist scenario:
16 days (64 hour guarantee) @ 117.54: $7552.56
5 days of volunteer with 20hours of flying
(2 days of 10 hours of flight time + 3 days of MPG(30.5 flight pay)): $3584.97
5 days of volunteer pay: $2200
Total monthly compensation: $13,337.53
