Is the pay scale accurate?? It seems really good.. yet I know of a YV captain who went to Omni then came back to YV as an fo.. claiming he could make more $ ??
Is upgrade 4 years or so as it states on the page?
Is Alaska possible with home basing or do they want you in the lower-48?
It actually just changed at anniversary of DOS. First year pay now $117. We typically do not fly over guarantee. So plan on 64 hours. There are exceptions and other soft money to bump that up. Typically, Extra pay comes at the loss of time off.
A trip on a day off will get you 3.56 hours each day or block whichever is higher, plus $300 on day 1, $400 on day 2, and $500 on day three and after.
Anchorage is not on the gateway city list. That said, guys have been known to choose a notoriously expensive city as their gateway, then use ALT travel to swap to a less or equal priced flight from non gateway cities. It’s more work and no guarantee though. Jumpseating to someplace else is always an option too.
