I believe that Part 135 allows flying on the side, but only Part 91 flying. Part 135 + Part 135 is a no no, and Argus won’t let you be Argus with another company to the best of my knowledge.
I know many Part 135 pilots that have Part 91 side gigs.
But, back to your original question, a LOT of pilots are REALTORs... It’s the toughest mini law exam I ever took, but it helped me get commissions on the sale and purchase of my houses. It’s not a bad gig...
I plan on continuing work as an attorney part time while flying. A FO at WN told me recently the worst part of his job was the down time at a place like Omaha (or anywhere else really away from home) for 12+ hours after finishing up his trips for the day. Working on the side will hopefully help with filling up some of that time.
