It's not about that...some people enjoy what they do and get paid well, some people enjoy what they do and don't get paid well. My point - I've met so many old timers that I think really enjoy flying and even after retiring, become hanger rats or find jobs having something to do with aviation...although money can be a factor, I would venture to say that you really have to like flying to put up with the BS that is prevalent in this profession. Maybe, just perhaps, some of these guys just truly like flying. It'll be interesting to see just how many still continue to fly after 60 -As far as how it affects the rest of the industry, only time will really tell. Me personally, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and I don't want to judge every pilot that works past the age of 60 as someone who is self centered, doesnt care about the profession or those behind him/her, and has the "ive got mine, who cares about yours" attitude.
