Investing in old used tech was Richard's strategy. I like shiny new jets too, but it did work to keep costs down. It was never meant to be a long term strategy but provided cheap lift at the time when it was needed. Ed clearly has a different strategy with respect to new aircraft purchases. I, too suspect that there is work going on behind the scenes for an A220-500 which would be more efficient than either the A320NEO or 737MAX and Im sure we'd be all to happy to launch it and secure commensurate pricing.
