But it doesn't explain how the two intermix. I'm guessing it is AE's and VD's first in seniority order, then MD's in inverse order. I'm looking at the LAX320 category. Most of the MD's are from 717 guys. So I'm guessing they'll be converting over to the 320 last in order to slowly wind down that category over the next 8-12 months.
Your guess is a bit off, but that's because there is no rule on how they intermix, as you put it. They are 2 entirely separate buckets. Each individual bucket must be emptied in the prescribed order, but the company can send pilots from either bucket at anytime in the process that they want, so long as the proper order from the individual bucket is maintained. There is no AE's and VD's before MD's or vice versa. No this bucket, then that bucket. They can empty both buckets at the same time, one before the other, half of one, all of the other and then the remaining half of the first. It's completely at their discretion and they use that to manage staffing in all of the categories so they don't run afoul of the contractual staffing requirements. The only thing required is the order of the individual bucket.
