Expressjet does have a CEO who owns half the company.

At the last company he led, he left in a place where they are an all-jet fleet, forecast to double in size, and have a much stronger pilot base than they used to.

This isn't to say things are going to be as predicted at Expressjet; but the naysayers are reaching quite a bit.
