I know that my focus has changed in regards to the PIC issue/"getting a job with a regional". I've decided to target those companies that fly ATR's, 1900's, Saab340A & B's, just to get the "coveted" 1000 Tprop PIC.
Just like everyone has pointed out PIC is PIC. Upgrades seems to come quicker, thus allowing someone to advance in their career at a pace I'm sure they'd be very happy with. This may mean flying for one of the "lesser known/admired/liked" regionals, however, when I look in the eyes of my wife and three year old....yeah...it'll be worth the sacrifice. JMO.
