More specifically, will the letter say "you are selected for MD-11 FO training, class date is ........, you will be assigned ANC", or will the base be assigned after training. My guess is that you wouldn't have a base assigned or offered until you complete training. For training purposes you're based in MEM. If they send you off campus (they're going to use the Boeing sim in Long Beach, CA and the Lufthansa sim in FRA is also probable) then they provide hotels and the appropriate per diem.
I have no idea how to provide you with a copy of the LOA. But I would point out that it is what it is. If you go to work for FedEx you'll be bound by it regardless of whether or not you like it. I will also tell you that it's much, much better than what we have now. In my humble opinion it's a pretty good deal. Are you swimming in the pool?
