I suspect y'all are getting confused about who is "in category" and who is not. Someone who has an AE to a category is not "in category" until they are converted.

Enable to VD in to a category there has to be someone junior to the pilot you are taking the displacement for in category. For an MD you use your seniority.

Now I don't know if there is some exception in the Contract that says you can displace someone with an AE who hasn't been converted or not.
