I can’t imagine a new hire going to the 175. From what I heard at the interview it will be very senior. You could simply be on reserve forever as an FO. I’m not sure auto throttles are worth a possible life sentence on reserve . I could be wrong though. I’m very new to anything 121. Maybe 145 pilots are happy where they are at and do not want to go through training.
