Thanks in advance for the info.
Eeeeehhhh, yeah it is definitely still a thing. I'd say 2 days a month is not entirely impossible but really exaggerating and stretching the truth. There are a lot of variables at play. A base with a big pilot group might see 2 days such as Texas. Again that's not a solid figure. Even at that, it is also diluted by getting their butts kicked flying all the time. Kansas City seems to get it assigned every time there is no trip period. Just a small insight on how it depends on the base. Other variables also depend if you're a PIC or SIC. On 8/6 schedule stby FBO might not be so bad except..... (did I mention it is still scheduled 12-14 hours?). Anyhow, PIC is 8/6 and SIC is 10/5. Anytime there is no trip and there is aircraft and crew available you are vulnerable per the GOM. Bottom line it is a garbage policy and QOL used to be better. They got you on the hook 12-14 hours a day 8 days or 10 days a rotation regardless of duty assignment, and this company used to be better then that. If you're going to get your time wasted may as well make more $$. Hope that all makes sense.
