This was a Boeing 737-800 Max, operated by a third world ab initio crew, one of whom was woefully under-experienced and underqualified. This was not a ship. This did not strike an iceberg. liferafts were not involved. The certification standards for transport category aircraft cannot in any way be compared to shipbuilding standards in the early 1900's.
The titanic crew did not accelerate past 500 knots and ensure that their ship was uncontrollable in the air.
