Exactly. You are NOT obligated to any airline if a better offer comes up. Depending on how good the other offer is, I would quit after I started training or after I was already online.

Look at it this way...if the airline realized they had to downsize on Friday, and your class date was on Monday do you think they would honor their job offer? You have already quit and given up your seniority at your old job...HELL NO they would not honor their job offer. Most likely they would send a bulk email to inform you that your job offer was rescinded at 5:00 PM on Friday...and then go home to diner without giving the matter another thought.

You don't owe them jack.
