Multiple Job Offers?

Wondering how others have handled either multiple job offers, or getting an offer from a less desirable job first. I am currently interviewing (or have interviewed) with quite a few different companies. I have two at the top of my list. Trying to figure out what to do if someone other than my top two give me a job offer. Do you accept a future class date, then call back and decline? Or do you ask for more time to decide?

I had the same thing happen to me. I accepted a less desirable job then interviewed and got the job I wanted, so I emailed the other place and told them I wouldn't be coming to training. They didn't seem very happy, but if I wouldn't have accepted the first job and then not have gotten the second job I would've been out of luck with any job. I guess I still don't know if I did the most ethical thing, but it worked out.

Take the first job you get. If something better comes along before training, call them up and say something like, Due to extenuating circimstances, I am unfortunatley not going to be able to make it to class. Thank you for the opportunity, and I will definatley keep you in mind for the future as you are a place I would like to work at.

Exactly. You are NOT obligated to any airline if a better offer comes up. Depending on how good the other offer is, I would quit after I started training or after I was already online.
Look at it this way...if the airline realized they had to downsize on Friday, and your class date was on Monday do you think they would honor their job offer? You have already quit and given up your seniority at your old job...HELL NO they would not honor their job offer. Most likely they would send a bulk email to inform you that your job offer was rescinded at 5:00 PM on Friday...and then go home to diner without giving the matter another thought.
You don't owe them jack.
