Look at it this way...if the airline realized they had to downsize on Friday, and your class date was on Monday do you think they would honor their job offer? You have already quit and given up your seniority at your old job...HELL NO they would not honor their job offer. Most likely they would send a bulk email to inform you that your job offer was rescinded at 5:00 PM on Friday...and then go home to diner without giving the matter another thought.

Exactly! You gotta do whats best for you and your situation. If you get offer A first but offer B is better for you, drop A like its hot and go with B. They wouldn't hesitate to furlough you if it's in their best interest, therefore you should not hesitate to ditch them if it's in yours.
