First off, I never claimed pilot pay was linked to anything. I was taking issue with someone saying that you shouldn’t expect an increase in salary if you are a highly experienced pilot and you work for an extremely successful company, a company that freely admits the success is due in no small part to the efforts of said pilots.
I did not say that if the CEO gets a pay bump that we should automatically get a pay bump. I do agree however that if the company sees fit to reward a CEO for their contributions to the company’s success, that it is only logical that the pilots could expect the same treatment if they are constantly being told how much their contributions are valued by the company.
