When was the last time you saw the Israeli flag flying below the American flag at OSC? When have you seen JetBlue replace the POW/MIA flag with the Israeli flag? Are you saying Jewish people aren’t proud of their history? Do they not deserve a whole month to show their pride too?
The point is that right now in the US, not at some historical juncture, calling homosexuals "disgusting" or saying that you don't "agree" with their lifestyle is considered socially acceptable. This isn't presently true for Jews or African Americans. In the 1960s American south, people would say these things about interracial relationships or blacks joining them at the lunch counter. People still say these things, but another pilot isn't going to tell you about it at work. Not true for opinions on LGBTQ people.
