Let’s say someone has applied to Company A and Company B. He interviews with Company A, and gets a training date with that company. He fully intends to join Company A.

If the person already had a CJO with the company he wants to work for, I am not sure why he would want to go through the torture of going to another interview to a company he doesn't intend to work for. Once I had the CJO from the company I wanted to work for, I canceled my 3 other interviews.
Obviously if the CJO is not from His top choice, by all means continue interviewing.
