Agree with what many said already , don’t know any facts to make a educated backseat stance in this incident ,

However , if there was a remote chance of needing to evacuate they did the right thing , you know how long it would have taken a ops crew to bring hard stand stairs to that aircraft !?!? 30 mins at best . Nothing happens fast there .. people would have been stuck on that airport for a long time . With the rims half gone and smoke coming out of them ... off of that picture alone I feel the right call was made ... always risk involved in evacuating, sure we all know that. However god forbid they waited for stairs and a fire started and 1 person died .... 100 times worse ...
