New Hire/ Furloughed Returning Pilots Plan
In addition, to the June and July classes already planned, 3 newly announced additional July and August NH/FR classes are scheduled with 30 pilots per class. Additionally, the company will most likely have additional 2 to 3 classes per month throughout the winter, which will be confirmed approaching each bid period as the manpower need and/or training availability is determined.
As of July 16th, there have been 472 New Hires and 28 Furlough returns for a total of 500 in the 2019 year.
The remaining furloughees are hitting their contractual 10-year limits, and many have already fallen off the list with more furloughees approaching this limit in the coming months.
Furloughees must inform the company of their intent to return 30 days prior to any specific class date that starts before their 10-year end date. 63 have not returned before their 10-year end date expired this year and have fallen off the list.
There are now 41 remaining extended furloughed pilots on the list with various 10-year expiration dates thru November 10th 2019.
