New hires: Plan on guarantee. Don’t budget on what the average is, since that can change and isn’t codified anywhere in the CBA.
Aiming at 110 TFP is what I wrote. I didn't always reach 110. There were months a couldn't make 100, there were months I got 130 with 2-3 "lucky" move-ups. A lot of ELITT trading, working weekends' more productive trips (more selection since most senior guys want weekdays). I rarely fly 3 days under 23 or 4 days under 30 TFP. I don't think I've ever flown a line i got awarded. It takes a lot of time on CWA. The key is patience. You can average 8 TFP per day if you want, even fairly junior. I admit it's becoming harder and harder. Boeing is to blame and I don't think we are anywhere close to the bottom of the problem. It will get worse before it gets better. If you're starting now prepare to fly your reserve line and stagnate in junior bases.
