I don’t like the idea of doing nothing while trying to save a wad of $$$. Also, everyone’s particulars vary. I like action.

Sounds like you already have a degree in something, & just contemplating starting training? At least get the ball rolling with a private pilot ground school & maybe an ‘intro’ flight, low cost.

Age can be a factor with a career change, closer to 30 or 50? Any help from family? Be aware of peripherals, driving & possibly police record & any medical issues? Trouble in those areas could be a hindrance to piloting for pay.

Start hanging with like minded individuals, cultivate local aviation contacts.
