Don't need much to start a flight school, start as part 65 until you build your business up.

Don't worry, part 61 shouldn't cost that much. Maybe half of that.

Part 61 these days is around $60k-$70k depending on where. Also my figure included saving up some money to supplement income while attending flight school full time.

Sounds like you already have a degree in something, & just contemplating starting training? At least get the ball rolling with a private pilot ground school & maybe an ‘intro’ flight, low cost.

Age can be a factor with a career change, closer to 30 or 50? Any help from family? Be aware of peripherals, driving & possibly police record & any medical issues? Trouble in those areas could be a hindrance to piloting for pay.

Start hanging with like minded individuals, cultivate local aviation contacts.
Yes, I have a degree already. I am working full-time. I am getting the ball rolling to start my private pilot. Moving all the way toward commercial it will be around 70,000 in the end. Im trying to see how others did it given a similar situation. Help from family is not an option. My record is clean and I hold a first class medical.

I have checked them out. However part 141 is not an option. Thank you.
