Definitely considered GoJet, but it sounds like not much is going on with them now. I'm not going to take any cadet money or commit etc.. until I have 1500 and ready to go. Will be paying attention to see how things shake out over the next few months.
Based at RDU would be a godsend. I'm a 20 minute drive from the airport on a brand spanking new toll road with no traffic.
I was at PSA as an RDU commuter a few years ago. As a Round 1 lineholder it wasn’t bad. Thanks to SAP, most, if not all my trips were commutable by either air or car, but the flights are always pretty stacked and quite a few mainline guys coming out of there, surprisingly. I drove half the time just to have a guaranteed ride home, but the drive itself wasn’t bad. Only stuck in traffic once and under normal circumstances it was about three hours door to door. Unless they took it away, there’s still one or two PSA flights a day to CLT so you’d have own metal transportation available, and that always helps.
