Sorry but no AA employee is going to dictate how the JS on a YX flight is used. The delay will go on AA Gate Agents and trust me it's not the first time I've had to delay a flight to get a JS or nonrevs on. Won't be the last time either. It's just the modus operandi of the culture of your hAAte agentsOriginally Posted by jetflyer123
Key word, getting cleared, a function that would require the AA gate agent, an employee of AA who doesn’t give a flying **** about your new policy, to clear them. The captain has no authority to force an agent to clear someone off the standby list. They will close the flight on time with the jumpseat unused. And, if the violate AA policy and clear out of order, we can write them up. So if we are kicked off the jumpseat, which is absolutely the captains discretion, the flight will likely go without anyone in the jumpseat. When you fly on a contract under a flag, you get their policies for clearing the list, like it or not.
