Many of the pilots that I have flown with left a second (or third) set of clubs at the layover hotel of their favorite courses. Some golf courses will also store a bag for you.

I'm not sure how your bidding system works, but these pilots were all senior in fleet and seat, and could bid for the layovers that they wanted.
