Cheers for the response.
Seems like the best option is to just rent the. Rappy sets they hold at the courses. Holding clubs at a course isn't really an option for me seeing as I rarely fly to the same destination more than a few times per year.
Regards.

There are PGA tour-level courses near some of the larger airports and they have reasonable green fees and rentals available. Phoenix area, Orlando Central Florida, DFW to name a few.

Reviving this ancient thread. Has anyone found a way to practice on layovers? Thought about getting some sort of TSA-friendly training aid to use in hotel, but haven't found anything that seems worthwhile.
I've only played a few times on layovers, and of course had a blast. But with round trip Ubers and rental fees, it ends up being outrageously priced just to play a random muni without your own clubs.

Bid western EU. I found the prices to be much better over there. I’d play some great rounds in Scotland with rentals for under $80 at times so long as you weren’t playing the old course. Not to mention the train plus maybe a mile walk to the front door of the club house would be $5.50 max.

Good point, you’re correct. I have seen that, but have never been asked in a dozen or so rounds. With that said, I have a GHIN just in case someone did need it to play a round. They’d likely tell me they didn’t even know GHIN numbers went that high.
