When did they stop the Shepard Air testing at the interview? Is that pretty recent?
I hear the current debate in the training department is the 25 hours versus 50 hour MEL time requirement. If you qualify for the restricted ATP you only need 25 hours. If you have the mins for a normal ATP then the dept wants a 50 hour MEL minimum. If you meet the requirements for either the restricted or normal ATP, ie military pilot with >1500tt, they are not too sure which minimums apply. Does someone come in on the restricted ATP side or do we make them pay for the extra 25 hours of light piston twin time? The struggle is real.

No need for Shepard air anymore. They don't do the test anymore. Yes definitely basic ifr.. If you don't know just tell them. There was a few things I didn't know due to zero experience with it. I told him that and he appreciated the non bs answer.
