Ah the old IAH dilemma. Is it possible in the first year, no. In first 5 years probably. The situation you will find yourself in is this. After a year on property in a junior, coastal domicile I can routinely hold 16+ days off and weekends off. I still cannot hold IAH. By the time I am eligible to hold IAH as a bottom of the barrel reserve guy, do I really want to? If you live in IAH, then reserve in base isnt bad. But commuting from Niceville to IAD/EWR and having a sweet schedule to then commute to IAH for a shorter commute only to be super junior isnt a winning combo in my mind. Just my 2 cents.
