I may have dreamed this up, and I'm too lazy to research it, but I'm pretty sure that part 91 flying (corporate pilot) does not count against FAR 121 duty limits. It's operating under the same rules as the guy that has a 172 that he flies on the weekends......
Obviously flying under part 135/charter rules would be a different story.
If you are exercising the privilege of your CPL then I think it counts
