Maybe I shouldn't be saying this on a public forum. I'm an awac captain with north of 10 years seniority. My total compensation will be north or $170,000 this year... To fly a 50 seat jet... I have a family with 2 young kids. Our insurance is second to none, and with our 16 year old concessionary, it will hurt when I move on. I'll say it again... Management has offered us Endeavors entire contract; HUGE rates and all... They know how much they would save getting rid of our insurance. My families health is much more important to me than a small raise (I'd like to see a similar seniority endeavor captains pay stub and the end of the year and compare).
If you feel there is a better company to work for and make more money, I'm sure they will hire you. I'll give the union credit on this, and only this. They didn't cave on our amazing insurance, and I thank them for that!
