Soooooooo now some junior people are going to grieve because they didn’t get the July vacation that they originally had and shouldn’t have got based on seniorty.

It’s not like the most junior guy took 2 weeks of summer vacation and the most senior person got October and THEN the company is like to bad so sad... leaving that senior guy high and dry...

It’s pretty cut and dry... they screwed it up. And now they are taking it back and making it right... wtf is ALPA going to do grieving it, besides waste time and resources.

So there's a trip in open time and you pick it up. It's on your schedule. Company comes back and says, oops...sorry, that pairing was suppose to go to a reserve and not go into open time. Our bad.

Would you grieve it?

AA had something like 96% of pilots get awarded vacation over Christmas a few years ago. An obvious mistake. Should the company just have rescinded it and re-run it with no benefit to the pilots who were awarded that vacation (whether they should have received it or not). BTW, AA pilots were able to get the company back to the table outside of the negotiating window to achieve gains because of this mistake.

But I'm sure 74% of the JB pilots will be fine just letting them resend the new bid without any consequences.
