If you had a lawn service contractor you hired to mow your grass would you want them cutting out your trees and bushes just because they didn’t like them and made their job harder?
Industry tradition and standard is that the Captain controls his jumpseat and the operating airline is in charge of their agreements. This is more like you have an agreement where your lawn service contractor lets your kids ride with him in the truck to school and then decides that he can't take them.
This isn't the contractor trying to call the shots. This is the pilots controlling their own jumpseat.
