Mesaba has an "equipment" lock for 3 years for all new hires. This means that you cannot bid another aircraft type while an FO for three years. This does not limit or prevent your upgrade to ANY captain seat.

When you do upgrade, you will then be "Seat" locked for 24 months in that aircraft and seat.
