If they wanted to use it solely as a recruiting tool, they would accept everyone then turn them down at the end. If you get in, you are in no way guarantee an FO position but it’s pretty much yours to lose.
No one knows right now what the rejection rate will be at the end because the program has not gone that far yet. The reliability review at the end is going to be subjective. Even if you are accepted I would still apply at the other majors and if hired I suggest taking it and not wait for United.
