But if those head scratchers that were OTS half the microscope only half way up their rectum that a CPP/AVIATE does, well, we wouldn’t be scratching our heads over how they made it on property.
But overall, OVERALL the OTS process is good, but no system is perfect. I mean, I made it.
And I’m not really keeping up, but do OTS still HPI before going to the F2F? If not, it needs to be combined IMO.
I’d say the CPP screened out more good employees s than the OTS hired(s) those that, well, made/make us scratch our heads.
Repeating myself;
As mentioned, many of the good ones that got the TBNT in the CPP had no problem getting hired elsewhere, many places with a more thorough hiring process. And it’s not like the CPP TBNT made them have a “wow, I need to look at what I’m doing wrong moment”. They were GOOD candidates that were passed over while the other shops that hired them weren’t being a-holes.

I was one of the folks that got the TBNT via the CPP. No hard feelings though. It's their airline to run as they see fit. Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise. Lit a fire under my rear end to move on elsewhere. I went down a path I'd never have thought to try, and ended up liking it. Sure, I'm not making as much money as a comparable United pilot, but my schedule is awesome, commute is non-existent, and my QOL has gone through the roof. Best of luck to everyone in the Aviate program, I hope you all make it through. For those that don't, United isn't the be-all-end-all of the industry. The rejection sure does sting at first, but keep looking for that silver lining.
