A flight attendant who was on medical leave of absence was on the phone talking to him, complaining about great difficulty in getting paid disability or what ever she signed up for. J.O's words were, "Well, if you work at Mesa, we need you to be healthy, and actually working, if you want to be paid".
So to answer your question, I don't think he has any interest in helping FA's become pilots.
