I bid these trips to fly down, and DH back. It's an awesome deal. Although the DH down to fly back is the least desirable.
It's just not worth trying to do with one crew. The passenger anger/ expense factor is just too high on an extensive snow delay then cancel.
DH down and flying back is more desirable by most in CLT bc the over block almost always happens coming back and if you dh that leg you don’t get paid the overfly, another brilliant caveat to our contract that should be fixed.
