I see many Piedmont pilots on this forum advising people not to come and fly for this company. So, is it really that bad? Is PSA really THAT much better?
I have a friend hired at psa within a month of when I was hired at piedmont. He spent longer on reserve than I did (9 months vs 2). He’s now a round 1 line holder and this month he will earn more working 13 days than I will working 18. He has accrued about the same amount of flight time I have and enjoys far superior flexibility in schedule. He works at an airline that is still taking on planes, Pdt is not. To top it off he’ll flow about the same time I will which is the reason I came here. While I do not regret my decision to come to PDT I both rue and lament it.
