Bombardier failed sales strategy put them in a desperate bind that threatened the program, and the Canadian government stepped in to help them out. Basically there’s no evidence that such a subsidy was ever offered to anyone but Delta.
My point was, the company had bombardier over a barrel. When they’re willing to publicly admit they were willing to retool their production line to fit your needs, I’m sure other stuff was on the table. We’ll never know. What we do know was Delta got a screaming deal. Hopefully management will be able to extract something similar from Boeing/Embraer.
