Anyway, they are going to start interviewing college sophomores, giving them their sign on bonus and forcing them to go to their regional carriers with the promise of flying for UAL in 2 years after graduation.

Especially with the current MAX scenario, they have no incentive to hire currently qualified pilots. The point of the program is for UAL to get first pick of the guys they want while they are still in college. This will give them position above AA for first pick. Everyone else gets leftovers.

That’s the point of the program. No more. No less.
Per usual, you’re full of hot air and attempt to project things in a different light than they actually are. Envoy (American) has had the Cadet program for years now. In addition, Endeavor (Delta) has had their own career progression program into the collegiate level. Only recently within the last few months has United attempted to do anything similar.

Aviate is just a watered down and copied version of both United and Delta’s program’s. There’s nothing at all special about it.

Give it a year or two and these programs will look completely different.

Let me ask you, what do you think United thinks with how you represent their company with your pampas and crass attitude towards other pilots on here?
