As said above . There are some that live in Long Island and do the commute . I would say all of them drive . There is no special route that is better that others . Depends on time of day . Otherwise you can go via train but it’s a bit of a pain . Long Island to Jamaica station then Long Island RailRoad to Penn station then New Jersey transit to EWR airport . Doable but I wouldn’t say it’s done often .

Otherwise bid 737/320 and you can focus on LGA trips mostly , which many people don’t want , On the Airbus they tend to be much more efficient than EWR .

Or just wait till the Jetblue Merger and you can fly out of JFK. 🙄👌😬
